FIT-A new workplace comedy

Tough Love

Written for a screenwriting course

This short film takes a look at Alex, a quick-witted college student, who learns her aggravating ex-boyfriend’s biggest secret after begrudgingly attending a fraternity party with him.

"Allegra writes with such hubris and confidence; it is as if she was born with the Final Draft software in her crib. Tough Love is a kind of modern romantic comedy in the vein of Oscar Wilde and other comedies of manners. The writing is both bold and subtle at the same time. It has an inherent cinematic feel and sound. The dialogue sizzles and the scenes are deliciously structured. There is something sophisticated about the entire surroundings that belies the writer’s young age."

~Craig Thornton, professor and screenwriter
